The Humble Hustle Project is moved my people with genuine intent and whose humility matches that of their determination to improve themselves. Simply put, it is people that are humble hustlers. The term stay humble and hustle hard has become a commonly used idiom of the last two decades that describes the ability to share one’s humility in spite of being relentless in the pursuit of their goals. The Humble Hustle Project is both a lifestyle brand and podcast.

The mission is to provide food for the soul and inspiration for generations. The Humble Hustle Project will be grounded in the following three core principles that will drive the mission of this lifestyle brand and podcast.

1. HHP will center conversations about about foundational knowledge on various topics coupled by critcal analysis while foregroudning growth, self-improvement as well as community development and service through examples of community, innovative leaders, system analysis and lived experience.

2. HHP with commit to community engagement through follower guest interviews, recommendations, dialogue and service

3. HHP will identify systems and blueprints that have proven successful for communities and community leaders who provide call to action insight.

Host Jake Kailahi is someone who is obsessed with topics of leadership, community, motivation, inspiration, and drive. He loves to identify value systems and understanding why people move through life the way they do and how that can continually be improved for generations to come.

Host & Founder

Jake Kailahi is an Education Specialist that is committed to lifelong learning. Jake currently works in the public higher education sector with a driving passion to serve students seeking knowledge. His current roles focus on equity, access and service. Within the educational institution Jake has been a "jack of all trades" teaching, career services, student life, tutoring, and overseen the creation and support of specially funded programs to service various student populations.

Jake received his Masters in Higher Education from Michigan State University where the idea for the Humble Hustle Project first came to him. While there, Jake worked multiple positions at once during his educational journey to not only help support himself, but also provided him a breadth of experiences around the learning people were seeking. Prior to MSU Jake graduated with his B.A. from University of California, Santa Barbara and a proud graduate of the community college system.

The Summer of 2020 Jake founded the Humble Hustle Project and launched the the first episode in early 2021. Jake is committed to continue his work in the education sector, but intends to make the Humble Hustle Project a household brand and podcast to foreground a lifelong learner mindset.

Brett Pollak is an Education and Public Service Specialist that is committed to the betterment of himself and others. Brett is currently working for a public 4-year university helping students reach their goal of continuing their education. Previously, he worked for the federal government as a regional representative working on Military and Veterans policy and casework. Passion for public service and lifelong learning are pillars that guide his lifestyle.

Brett received his Master’s in Public Administration and Public policy from the University of Nevada, Reno with the goal of working in local government. A passion for serving and giving back to the community had led him to his current place of employment.

The reason for joining the Humble Hustle Project is not only for self-improvement, but for the amelioration of others. Jake, a best friend, presented the idea and gave me the opportunity to join this incredible project and I said yes with no hesitation. This isn’t about a podcast, this is about creating a lifestyle where we are constantly pushing ourselves to be our best selves in all facets of life. Brett's areas of interest are leadership, relationship building, collaboration, and motivation.
